Whether you’re chasing your first full entry into the Hall of Fame or racking up a Half or Quarter vEveresting, the Global vEveresting Day is about pushing yourself further than ever before, together.

What are the specific setup requirements for this attempt?
• Everesting must be done with 100% trainer difficulty and no we are not interested in debating “it’s just watts”. Whining is for wimps. Everesting is for Winners.
• Purchase a climbing cassette or ask for one for Christmas. You’ll want at least a 1 to 1 relationship front chainring (example 34 teeth) to largest sprocket on the rear (example 34 teeth).
• Set cadence as one of your HUD settings. Spin in the 70 to 80 range and your knees will thank you. Nothing wrong with a bit of standing and walking it through.
Just remember that: • High RPM sitting is cardiovascular system
• Low RPM sitting is legs • Low RPM standing is legs
• Use the Feather power-up on the final corner to the arch this is the steepest section.
Why did you chose The Grade as the segment?
• 29 trips = 29,089 feet…Everesting 29,029 feet…. it was meant to be.
• The event is a looped route = no U-Turns and locked in feather power ups…no random useless vans or aero.
• A journey of rewarding bite sized climbs. This creates a continuous sense of achievement.
• A big part of this effort is mental. On The Grade other Everesters are always close by.
• Need a longer break? Take 20-30 minutes and wait for the group to come around again for their next trip up.
• As each time zone hits the later painful stages of the Everesting, a new time zone comes online with fresh energy to follow.
• The exception is US Pacific time zone. No incoming fresh energy to follow. The hope is the spirit of Everesting is paid back with Everesters jumping back online for a lap or 2 to help out their brothers and sisters.
