🇦🇹 TRIPLE EVERESTING RECORD: Max Riese

Some challenges are made for humans… some are made for legends. Max Riese just redefined what’s possible, covering 26,553 m of elevation and almost 480 km in just 37h 37m in Gaisberg, near Salzburg (Austria).

It all started with a simple idea: a lightweight Cervélo climbing bike in need of a proper challenge. It wasn’t about beating anyone else. Max had completed an Everesting in winter 2020 and wanted to take it further. “Three times the height of Mount Everest was so absurd it was just right,” he said. “I calculated what I thought was a reasonable time and thought: ‘Oh, that might be a record!’”

Max was barely ever alone during the ride. His best friend joined him at 2:30 am, and his girlfriend took over pacing at 4:30 am. One supporter, Kevin, rode multiple loops with him on both days because he was so amazed by Max doing this. The outpouring of support turned the challenge into an unforgettable shared experience.

He broke the previous record set by Jakob Wagenhofer in June 2025, a reminder that every record is meant to inspire the next attempt.

Max has set the bar. The question is: who’s next? 🚴‍♂️💥

Max wouldn’t have been able to secure the WR without the support of his girlfriend @the_nihilisa, his sponsor @posedla.cc and @cervelo for providing the bike.
